Golden Half began in the summer of 1969 and produced 3 albums and 10 singles during their four year run. In the year following their final break-up their management launched a second generation called Golden Half Special. The second incarnation produced one album.

Summer of '69

The Original Golden Half is Born

Golden Half was recruited as a mascot girls by Nippon Television’s “Drifters Daisakusen” and they formed into a group in the summer of 1969. Their first single will arrive in August of the following year.

The original 5-some releases their first single “Yellow Cherry” as a 7″ vinyl. B-side of “I Want a Boyfriend”.
