Hidetoshi Hasagawa is a fictional character from the American television show, The Office US. He is portrayed by actor and producer Hidetoshi Imura.
Hidetoshi is a Japanese warehouse worker at Dunder Mifflin. He is known for his few lines and his mysterious background as a former heart surgeon in Japan. In the episode “Happy Hour,” Darryl Philbin encourages Hidetoshi to share his story about his past as a heart surgeon in Japan.
Hidetoshi tells the story of how he was once the number one heart surgeon in Japan with a steady hand. One day, a yakuza boss needed a new heart, and Hidetoshi performed the operation. Unfortunately, the yakuza boss died, and the yakuza became very mad at him.
Hidetoshi Imura, the actor who played Hidetoshi Hasagawa, is known for his work in Ugly Shoes (2016), In a World… (2013), and Bear Tours (2015).
Although he had a minor role in The Office, his character has become a fan favorite, and some fans have even called for a spinoff series featuring Hidetoshi.
