Half Black, Half Japanese

Of all the flavors of being half Japanese, the one most often causes internal disruption for those that are of that particular mix, is being half Japanese, and half black. Luckily, we live in a more progressive era (across the world, if not just yet in Japan), so there are a lot more resources available to openly discuss all of our experiences.

We at Japanifornia would like nothing more than to be a website that someone in a remote area of the world—the country-side of Japan, a small town in the middle of nowhere in Alaska or North Dakota, or hidden in a nook of a European city—so that we might provide a connection to other’s of the same mix with whom they can share their experiences, and feel less alone.

So it is here that we collect everything that we can about the experience of being all the various mixes in the world. Please browse around and see what you can find.
