Akihiro (Earth-616)

Daken, also known as Akihiro, is a Marvel Comics character who first appeared in Wolverine: Origins #5 in October 2006  He is the son of Wolverine and his Japanese wife, Itsu, who was murdered by the Winter Soldier while pregnant with Daken in 1946. Daken inherited his father’s healing factor and retractable claws, as well as the ability to manipulate pheromones to control others.

Daken’s storyline is marked by several significant events. In the “Dark Wolverine” storyline, Daken takes on the mantle of Wolverine and joins the Dark Avengers, a team of supervillains posing as heroes. In the “Wolverine Goes to Hell” storyline, Daken is killed by his father and sent to Hell, where he is resurrected as a Horseman of Death. In the “Empire” storyline, Daken is revealed to be working with the mutant nation of Krakoa and is sent to infiltrate the X-Men.

Is Daken Good or Bad?

Despite his villainous past, Daken has also had moments of redemption. In the “Daken: Dark Wolverine” series, he attempts to become a hero and protect the citizens of Madripoor. In the “Wolverines” series, Daken is resurrected and joins a team of characters connected to Wolverine, including Sabretooth and X-23.

Daken’s most recent appearance was in the “X-Men” series, where he is revealed to be working with the X-Men to stop a group of mutants who have been resurrected without their consent. Daken’s complex character and storyline have made him a fan favorite in the Marvel Universe, and his legacy as Wolverine’s son continues to be explored in various comic book series.
