The Roller Girls is an American sitcom that aired on NBC from April 24, 1978 to May 10, 1978. The series features the exploits of a fictional all-female roller derby team, the Pittsburgh Pitts, owned and managed by Don Mitchell. The Japanese American member of the Pitts was Shana ‘Pipeline’ Akira, played by Marilyn Tokuda. This t-shirt replicates the spirit of the jersey’s worn during matches on the series. Although very short lived, Pipeline was a outstanding athlete in the annals of Japanifornia history, and a member of the fictional Hall of Fame.
